Hamilton Slow Streets hits some bumps

Hamilton has been a bit of a trail blazer in New Zealand with pushing ahead on reducing speed limits in residential areas in a bit to improve safety. The concept of liveability is simple: it assesses which locations around the world provide the best or the worst living conditions. Bin the Parking Mins

Unitary Plan into the final stages

Over the last few months we have tried to hold off discussing the unitary plan too much while the council worked through the feedback. Today the council will start the process of going through the changes to the plan so that it can finalised and ultimately notified so we will be having a look at some of the changes and how they might affect some of the outcomes of the overall plan.…

Waterview TBM under construction

The team building the Waterview Connection have release a video showing the first stages of the TBM being assembled like a giant jigsaw puzzle and which gives an indication to the sheer size of it. Where to host a possible future America’s Cup?

As many people will know, yesterday Team New Zealand won the Louis Vuitton Cup meaning that in a few weeks they will get to challenge for the America’s Cup. If they win that they will bring the cup back to New Zealand and people – perhaps getting a little ahead of themselves – are already starting to think about where a future regatta could be hosted.…
