Further thoughts on the East-West announcement
Last night’s announcement that Auckland Transport and the NZTA have dropped the option of running a motorway through Mangere is great news and they should be commended for doing the right thing. Will people walk further for higher frequency bus services?
To me the new bus network presents Auckland Transport with many opportunities to improve transport in Auckland. These include: It simplifies the bus network and removes unnecessary duplication and inefficiency.
It allows for greatly improved frequencies across much of the city.…
