Buses sign up with Thales

This media release somehow passed us by last week, but is welcome confirmation that Thales will now provide the bus ticketing solution for all operators in Auckland – along with trains and ferries: Auckland Transport said today, it was pleased to confirm Auckland’s bus consortium has advised its members will install Thales hardware on their bus fleets as part of the preparation towards Auckland’s integrated ticketing system.…

Train Ticketing changes tomorrow

Tomorrow is going to be a pretty historic day for the rail network, for probably the first time ever there will be a change to how ticketing is done for trains in Auckland. In anticipation of the roll out of integrated ticketing in at the end of October, on-board ticket sales are being phased out so that regular users can start to get used to to buying their tickets before getting on the train. …

Rolling out the AT HOP card

With confirmation that Snapper have been kicked out of the integrated ticketing project, the rollout of the AT HOP card is now underway. This will start first on the trains, as detailed on the MAXX website.
