Photo of the day: Weeds
This site is surely a prime candidate for development sitting right next to the Grafton Station and just across the road from the new Auckland University campus currently under construction. In addition it is also passed by all the buses that travel along Park Rd.…
Newmarket Campus site progressing quickly
Anyone who has been on a western line train between Newmarket and Grafton recently will undoubtedly have seen all of the work going on to clear the old Lion Brewery site that will eventually become the Newmarket campus for the Auckland University.…
How much rail in Newmarket has changed
Today is a bit of a history day. Despite the running down and removal of our PT system over the decades we know that new life is currently being breathed into it so I believe it is important to remember just how far we have come in a relatively short space of time.…
Developments in Newmarket and New Lynn get the green light
There were two big bits of development news yesterday.
The first was that the University of Auckland confirmed that they were buying the former Lion Brewery site in Newmarket as part of their plans to consolidate their operations in the central city.…

Grafton Station Opens

While Grafton Station is really just a relocation of Boston Road station by about 200m, it has been built as a pretty high quality station from scratch and will offer good connectivity with the domain, hospital, various schools and the Central Connector busway.…
