  1. Re: no. of views: I saw these as an ad while watching another youtube video so perhaps those impressions count

    1. It’s as close to a grid as you can get given the topography and existing roads. At least it will be hundred off or through busway stations.

      1. A grid insofar as the geography allows. I.e services from west would continue to the east coast, connecting with north south services to from the city. Would make it easier to get around the shore, at the cost of a transfer when heading into the city.

  2. Too bad the frequent services still mostly are a star pattern serving the CBD (and Takapuna in case of the N6).

    What if they:
    • have a frequent service between Birkenhead and Takapuna
    • and extend the N8 as a frequent service to Constellation (i.e. make the N8a frequent)

Then the frequent services on the east side at least join up with those on the West.

  3. How on earth am I going to get from the top of archers to takapuna. Looks like I need to backtrack to Glenfield and transfer to takapuna.

  4. Definitely needs more connections from lower western Shore to at least a busway station… can only go to the city centre (with frequency) from Birkenhead, but would be critical to be able to head north too!

    1. Pity Northcote Point residents killed off the proposed busway interchange at the bottom of Onewa Road aye?

  5. One of the major problems with East/West connections at busway stations is the difficulty of accessing Smales Farm (and to a lesser extent Akoranga) from the west as they are east of the motorway. Only Sunnynook has a through East/West road through (over) the bus station but bizarrely will have no connector services in future. It currently has two infrequent ones. An interchange where the old toll plaza was utilising the pedestrian tunnel under the motorway should never have been dropped from the busway system.
