hi Michael – not sure about video but yes I’m happy to distribute slides, as well as the supporting conference paper. Send an email to sdonovan at mrcagney.com
True, but holding them later means people get home even later to family, and since much of the profession DOES work closer to town, it’s a choice of two evils – I can tell you that if we were running these late(r) that would definitely put other people off from coming who currently do. Hard call.
Stu – I appreciate that this is a very difficult area for engineers who have to work for the people who pay them but society at large often has to live with outcome and from time to time it may be aesthetically not pleasing or possibly the wrong solution to the problem. As a non-engineer I would very much like to read a relevant blog post from you when the smoke clears…………………!

I feel obliged to point out that Stuart now works for MRCagney Australia in Brisbane and has been preemptively disowned by the Auckland office 😉
“It’s a trap!”
“Beware the ides of March!”
“Enemies of the Heir, beware!”
“Winter is coming!”
And that is the last we ever saw of poor old Stu. We will remember you Stu.
thanks. I’d like to be remembered by erecting a massive pohutukawa flower statue next to the “Grafton Gully Boulevard”
Made our of little red cars forming the pixels?
Wanted to come, had to work instead. Hope it went great.
Why do they hold these meetings so early?
Very hard to get to unless you work in the city (and no I’m not making an ironic comment about Auckland traffic!)

“Why do they hold these meetings so early?”
Perpetual question as a morning person. How would others feel if I schedule for 9.30pm rather than 7.45am?
