As a Pukekohe resident, who lives just off Cape Hill Road, my main concern is noise levels. Sound travels very easily through these valleys. You hear the train, or not, depending on the way the wind blows and deep base sounds vibrates through the earth. We do need this expressway, but what is being done, during the design phase, to mediate future noise pollution, especially along the residential zones (Cape HILL Road)?
