Thank-you for mentioning the Pohutukawa. On the part of the North Shore where I live they are the most splendid sight ever – a sea of glorious deep red on a soft green background against a deep blue sky/ocean. I think it’s the wrong time to go away on holiday and miss such local beauty and serenity. It doesn’t last long!
