Yes, most of it’s good for 8 to 80 year olds, and it’s all evolving at a meaningful pace. Bring on the apartments.

Yeah – it’s a fair criticism – and it’s large trucks that are moving through there too. 20 km speed limit would be good too.
The other thing I really dislike is the, shall I call them ‘school patrol wardens’ who are present on the market day, stopping people from crossing the road when cars are coming. To the point where they shout at people. Wrong message.
Actually ‘really dislike’ is the wrong term. It infuriates me. It makes me want to amble across the road intentionally.
Agree – it’s a ridiculous set-up. And it gets only more ridiculous when you realise that the west-east route has always had priority – cars always had to stop there to give way to traffic along North Wharf & Jellicoe Street (see Google Earth for historical aerials). Except to peds, it seems.
