A big, heartfelt thankyou from the Transport Blog team to all of our readers who gave so generously when we asked.
Our original target of $1,800 to cover hosting costs was smashed within 24 hours of the GiveALittle link being put up on the website. With hosting costs well and truly covered for at least the next year, we have closed off the donations for this cause. As needs arise we will definitely consider using GiveALittle again, but in the meantime look out for our film night fundraiser later in the year for your chance to contribute again.

There are a lot of things that contributed to Auckland getting a CBD rail link approved, but this blog was a huge part of it, and you’ve all put in many hours of volunteer labour. It’s only fair that you got something back to cover costs (and $3000 is a tiny fraction of what any minor report on any minor transport project would cost). Congratulations, great team!
A really phenomenal result, and as Feijoa says it’s a reflection of the work the editors and contributors put into this site.
