The latest photos and video from the Waterview Connection project. As of last Friday the TBM had just 332 metres to go before breaking through – which should happen in the next few weeks.

  1. The shared path which you say is a bit narrow sadly isn’t a shared path, as far as I can tell it’s one of the pedestrian side paths.

  2. When exactly will Waterview be finished? I think it was mid 2017, but is it ahead of or behind schedule at the moment?

  3. Those paths hardly look like they’re to ausroad standards. They lack runoff area on each side. Hitting a leading edge of the slabs that make the wall or coming off the path onto the rocks would be very injurious.

    1. My thoughts exactly. Would be fine for experienced cyclist but quite dangerous for a family going out for a Sunday ride. I suspect this should be pedestrians only which seems like a waste to me.

  4. One simple thing we can do to make Auckland more awesome is to lift the standard of our playgrounds.

The one picture is an excellent example of a crap playground
